I wrote to him (he was already “the” SEO leader in Germany back then) via his contact form and asked if we could meet up sometime (to talk nerdy about SEO). He then immediately invited me to the recording of SEOFM on May 13, 2008, which was the biggest podcast in the SEO scene at the time. Without further ado, I can say that without Marcus I probably wouldn't have gotten into the industry so quickly. Marcus, you invited me – without knowing me – and taught me a lot.

Shortly afterwards, I noticed that an old school friend of mine, Konstantin, also did SEO. Together with his colleague Sepita (who was still employed at Jobscout at the time), we founded a small SEO regulars' table, the SEO Nomads . Maybe I should also mention that although I had the blog Seokratie.de at the time, I had neither an agency, employees nor customers.
